You never forsake us
Ever holding us
in Your loving hands

it looks dusty
rough, shapeless
just another rock

but You, Jesus
washed it
and see what's beneath
with Your eyes of love

You carefully carve it
cutting away the edges
shaping it
according to Your design

the sparkle
underneath the black dust

the more cut You create
the more brilliant it became
its radiance
reflecting Your light

truly i stand in awe
