a particular race that seems
like it is never ending
running forward yet pushed the opposite
against from where you were

the race that seems
unpleasant under the burning sun
and your vision seems
blurred by the fog

but as you keep running
against all these
your muscles are slowly built up
your endurance increased

but then you shoes
are getting torn
it's not just the sun
and the fog anymore

the race seems
like it is taking forever
frightening as the thunder screamsss
hailstorms pressured you down

but keep running
for the Almighty equips you
to equip others
that are running with you

take heart and finish the race
take joy
for He is waiting at the finish line
to embrace you
